Lessig launches the Change Congress movement. This is supremely important if you want the government to actually work for the People. There are four issues on which you can voice an opinion regarding your preferred candidate’s beliefs:
- not accept contributions from lobbyists an Political Action Committees
- abolish of earmarks
- increase transparency
- publicly finance elections
I’m pledging three out of four: I’m not so sure about the abolition of earmarks being the key problem. If we had great transparency about earmarks, they might not be so bad. Maybe I’m misinformed. Happy to be proven wrong and upgrade to four stars. But for now, I’ll try to maintain some sense of individuality (I’m already a Lessig groupie as it is).
